We have good news to share!

Jenny Lee Photography is featured on DISNEY BABY's blog today. Our friend, Amy Heinz (an incredible mother of 3 kids) from Using Our Words, who also contributes to the Disney Baby blog, have written a post on some tips we've shared with them on "How to Photograph Your Newborn".

Go check it out and share this post with all your pregnant friends and new moms. And I hope they will learn a few tips from us on how to capture that sweet little bundle at home.

Thanks for making our day so great Amy & Disney Baby!

Baby Siena {Day 17}

Meet baby Siena. She is 17 days old who already has an amazing fun personality. Just look at all her sweet expressions.

This little one holds a very special place in my heart as her mommy and I are good friends. I was so excited to hear about her pregnancy and couldn't wait to meet her little girl. It was so special for me to be able to be there for her, watch my dear friend become a new mother and help capture the first few weeks of life of her with her first born child. Every first born child holds a very special meaning in their mother's heart.

Thank you Stephanie for choosing me to be there with you during this very special time in your life, I am truly honored. I cannot wait to watch baby Siena grow.

She was full of love and full of smiles.

I loved her eye contact - so young and so alert.

Her nursery was pure and simple. Exactly how I loved it.

Coming up for some air....

Boy I can do better than this... yes, I'm talking about this blog. I'm finally coming up for some air.... I know, I've completely neglected this blog thing here. Blame it on my crazy life .... my way active 2 little boys, the overwhelming bookings throughout this year, placing orders, editing, processing, downloading my own images, and now that its the holiday season, it hasn't slowed down at all.

I'm grateful for all everyone who have hired me to document their babies' first few days of their life, moms with their growing bellies and adorable chubbawabba babies who sits, crawls and slobber all over. It's been a true blessing to continue to be this busy throughout this past year. I know at times I will need to step on the break for a little bit to share my gratefulness and here I am doing that.

Although we'v been quiet here, we have lots going on over on our Jenny Lee Photography Facebook page - please join us there if you haven't yet. Thank you so much for all of you that have joined. Our number of fans are climbing up each day... we got over 500+ "likes" on our Facebook this year (thanks to you all!). So don't forget to join us there for more updated photos, behind the scenes from our photo shoots or just hear my random thoughts and status updates every week. We love reading all your "likes" and comments.

I promise as soon as this whole holiday season thing is over and we're off to a brand new year of 2012, I will make some better changes here on my blog. I'm thinking about starting some kind of new photo project.

Thank you to all those loyal ones who have stayed updated with my life, my studio and everything else in between.

Off I go to finish up more holiday orders now....

Of course, I cannot post a blog without sharing an image or two so I will leave you with a few of my favorite teenie tiny baby toe shots from our recent shoot...

Keep those little toes warm during this holiday now!

Baby Clarissa { Day 10 }

Seems like it wasn't too long ago when I photographed this glowing mother-to-be named Audrey. Well, that was in February, and I didn't realize how fast time passed already. I didn't even have the chance to post the maternity images that I've been meaning to share on my blog.

Well, she called me the other week and was so excited to announced her baby's arrival. Baby Clarissa is her name, and she was born on Wednesday, March 9.

Even though I might see this belly to a baby scene many times enough, I am still amazed by the idea of seeing this baby, now outside that womb... vs. this baby who was just inside that womb just 3 weeks ago. I am amazed that these babies naturally knows when to do their little magic and force themselves out of that womb to meet their parents. How do they know when its time to arrive? How do they decide which day they will have their birthday for the rest of their lives?

It's called a Miracle. And life is truly a miracle. A man and a woman can create another life together. That's just incredibly amazing.

Each and every one of these babies I come across and meet for the first time, they still make my heart sink. The moment we meet, I am still in awe of their tiny-ness. When I hold them in my arns, each and every one of them reminds me of the day I held my own for the first time.

It must be a blur for many moms during the first month as it definitely was for me. But I promise you that with these images will only bring back the special sweet moments you might have forgotten during the first 2 weeks of your baby's life. You will be able to live that moment again once you open that album again and see your tiny one.

This is their story.

** Leave 20+ comments for baby Clarissa and she will receive a fun gift from our studio.
Send him some love**

Their very 'first born' child wasn't forgotten at all.

Just a few weeks after the maternity session, we have baby Clarissa here with us.

I love how excited new parents get to see their newborn's eyes open. I always try my best to photograph an open eye shot of them while they are awake for a few minutes.

I don't do enough 'before' and 'after' series during my Maternity & Newborn Collections... but this time, I remember to and I am loving this one especially when they are placed side by side.

I will title this one: "Inside, Outside".

Baby Sebastien ... continues...

It's been a crazy few months with the holidays and I am just catching up with shoots that I did back in October and November. (Yeh I know... this needs to improve, I know). I can't believe we are only a few days away from the New Year... its' been an amazing and completely crazy year.
I have so many new year resolution on my mind that I would like to start to keep and improve ... and one of my top 10 one is this blog...

I wanted to share a couple more from one of my favorite newborn sessions from this year...

Baby Sebastien { Day 6 }

I didn't even get a chance to post this beautiful belly that I photographed some weeks back. Well, guess what? I already went back to photograph the newborn already so I am just going to have to post both of the sessions in this one post now.

Meet our brand new mommy and her beautiful belly, Priscille.

She was 35 weeks pregnant and had a very nice round belly. They had such a gorgeous living room which I loved. The living room was ready for a photo shoot... the white couch, orange and green accents, wooden bowl, textured rug. And of course, the nursery was utterly cute too. This mama sure have great taste in her colors and furnitures. I loved the style.

Now, meet their new little guy, he is only 6 days young when we met. His name is Sebastien. I remember when his mommy was still pregnant, she told me she named her baby SMS. "SMS?" I said. Yes, that's his initials... is that just too cute and 2010 or what? Sebastien Martin is his name. I see a rockstar in the future with that name. This special name, Sebastien was also on my boy list of names to choose from when I was pregnant with my 1st baby boy :) I still love this name very much till this day.

{ Priscille & Dennis - Thank you so much for having me back again... it was such a pleasure to photograph your fresh little boy in his first week of life. You have a beautiful and cute little family, congrats again. It was a pleasure to meet Dennis' parents too, I loved how your dad was both eager and relieved to know that I can speak chinese too when he met me :P It was just too cute }

** Leave 20+ comments left for this cute family, I will send baby Sebastien a little gift from our studio.

Monica & Baby Jacob

I'm slowly coming up for some air and is trying to catch up on my blog here as you can see.

A maternity shoot I did a while back, which I never had the chance to post until tonight (especially since my iPhone is patiently being updated right now to the iOS4 software as I'm writing this and I don't want to touch my other computer yet while its doing its job).

Meet Monica, her belly was so round and beautiful at 37 weeks. It's her first baby and this hot couple is so thrill to welcome their little one. Well, 2 days after this photo shoot, I received an email from Monica telling me she had her baby boy! Whew... that was close. Good thing she didn't go into labor 'during' our photo shoot.

Congratulations guys. Baby Jacob is gorgeous and completely tiny and adorable. Thanks for having me back to photograph your precious little one.

I love these intimate ones of the two of them...

Now, meet little Jacob, their very beautiful and tiny little guy at just 18 days young.

I love the wrinkles on his forehead.

And finally, a family portrait of them I love.

Baby Aiden { Day 7 }

Still remember our pretty little Mia from a previous session? She is now a big sister to a baby boy named Aiden. Of course, I love this name. My first born baby is named Aidan too... but spelled with an "A" instead. I got my name Aidan, from Sex and the City...well, when I was pregnant with my first... I watched a whole lot of that show and fell in love with this name.

This sweet little Aiden is as cute as he sounds... he also slept so well for me, which I loved. I truly enjoyed working with him. He was so sleepy throughout most of the shoot and barely even poop'ed on me too... well, he did a little but it was towards the very end of our session. But that is just how every session goes.

Big sister Mia was being so good. She was not shy at all and showed me that her little brother bought her this almost Mia size dinosaurs Rex (from Toy Story). She was truly one sweet little girl, she listened when I asked her to lay down close to her baby brother for some photos... the way she looked at her baby brother... the way she gently held him and touched him, it was all too sweet. I promised her that if she was good, she would get a little 'surprise' gift from me... and she did. I brougt her these cute little white sunglasses that came with some candies inside, it worked out great as a prop as well for me all in one. I loved the shot of her showing off her new sunglasses.

{ Thank you Catherine & Joe, for having me back again to document one of the most important event in your lives. It was a privilege to work with you guys again. Baby Aiden will always be dear to my heart... after all, I know that he has one of the best names in the whole wide world :) }

Just 22 days...

I've photographed many, many newborns but each time I meet a newborn for the first time, I am still amazed by their tiny-ness, their freshness... and especially by the fact that they were JUST inside their mother's womb just a week or two ago... sometimes, even just days.

Each newborn is a brand new one to me and there are never 2 babies that are alike, not even twins. Every baby behaves their own way and have their own likes and dislikes.

I am very fortunate that many new mothers have given me so much of their trust ... allowing me to work with your tiny new baby. I'm a mother of two boys and I still remember how possessive I was with my first born baby. It's definitely a mother's instinct to feel the need to protect your baby in every way you can and be a little obsessed with them and that's okay, I understand.

I am thankful for each one of you who have chosen me as your newborn / baby photographer. I thank you for your trust... especially those who had no idea that I am a mother of two. I love what I do and I'm really blessed to know that I have made a difference in your life for you... and your new family.

Here is a beautiful one I had to share, she was just 22 days young. She slept so well for me majority of the time and we managed to get some really great shots of her both sleeping and awake.

Big toes, little toes...

There is just something about a baby's toes that I truly love and I'm not even much of a toe person myself. But I still love my 2 year old's chubby little toes and kisses them whenever I get the chance to see them hanging out with no socks. I wish they can stay so tiny and cute all the time.

But I love newborn's toes... and I've realized that I can't get enough toe shots of them either. I was just finishing up an order for a client tonight... and came across these cute toe shots from their session...

Have you kissed those tiny toes today?
