Every public school in the Bay Area are in need for more funds. One of the best ways that I can help out our local schools is by donating my Portrait Sessions to the local schools for their annual online fundraising auctions.

Here's a second chance for you to donate to a local school AND earn yourself a Portrait Session for your baby. Our other Portrait Session was auction out at Neil Armstrong Elementary and sold for a very good price! 100% of those funds went to Neil Armstrong Elementary School for better education.

Behind the Scene

One of the best ways for many of you to see what kind of environment I work with during my photo shoots, can be seen here. These are some images that my client's sister took from one of our newborn session.

I work with a minimal set up, simple backdrops, a bean bag, a few wraps and most importantly, I use natural light that comes through into the house. Sometimes, I can make a room look like a typhoon has just hit during the making, but that is just a part of how it usually goes. But I always try to help clean up the best before I leave though.

We got great news to share ... that's right, we've done it again. One of our mommy and baby image is featured on Tot Trends Weekly Magazine this year under their 2010 Mother's Day column.



It was such an honor to be on Tot Trends Weekly 2009 Mother's Day list last year. I am SO excited to be a part of their featured photographer list once again.

Congratulations to mommy Jill and baby Andrew...that special bonding between you two were amazing sweet, I'm so happy Tot Trends Weekly have also recognized this amazing love and connection between the two of you.

Baby Aiden { Day 7 }

Still remember our pretty little Mia from a previous session? She is now a big sister to a baby boy named Aiden. Of course, I love this name. My first born baby is named Aidan too... but spelled with an "A" instead. I got my name Aidan, from Sex and the City...well, when I was pregnant with my first... I watched a whole lot of that show and fell in love with this name.

This sweet little Aiden is as cute as he sounds... he also slept so well for me, which I loved. I truly enjoyed working with him. He was so sleepy throughout most of the shoot and barely even poop'ed on me too... well, he did a little but it was towards the very end of our session. But that is just how every session goes.

Big sister Mia was being so good. She was not shy at all and showed me that her little brother bought her this almost Mia size dinosaurs Rex (from Toy Story). She was truly one sweet little girl, she listened when I asked her to lay down close to her baby brother for some photos... the way she looked at her baby brother... the way she gently held him and touched him, it was all too sweet. I promised her that if she was good, she would get a little 'surprise' gift from me... and she did. I brougt her these cute little white sunglasses that came with some candies inside, it worked out great as a prop as well for me all in one. I loved the shot of her showing off her new sunglasses.

{ Thank you Catherine & Joe, for having me back again to document one of the most important event in your lives. It was a privilege to work with you guys again. Baby Aiden will always be dear to my heart... after all, I know that he has one of the best names in the whole wide world :) }

A Fabulous Easter Weekend

It was a weekend filled with lots of fun, colorful eggs, candies and laughs. I spent my Saturday afternoon painting eggs with my kids and nephews. I've never really dyed eggs before (yeh, I know)... so this year I made sure the kids got to dye some eggs for Easter since both of them are at the age where they can now understand so much more than they did last year or the year before. During the process of egg dyeing, I also learned that adding vinegar to the color dye makes the colors brighter, now isn't that a cool thing to know.

So from here on out.. I am going to make this a little Easter tradition for my kids... finding time to just sit down and paint eggs together...year after year. I really loved how it turned out. And I mostly just loved spending that quality time with the boys... and being able to capture all those beautiful colors with my camera.
