Baby Clarissa { Day 10 }

Seems like it wasn't too long ago when I photographed this glowing mother-to-be named Audrey. Well, that was in February, and I didn't realize how fast time passed already. I didn't even have the chance to post the maternity images that I've been meaning to share on my blog.

Well, she called me the other week and was so excited to announced her baby's arrival. Baby Clarissa is her name, and she was born on Wednesday, March 9.

Even though I might see this belly to a baby scene many times enough, I am still amazed by the idea of seeing this baby, now outside that womb... vs. this baby who was just inside that womb just 3 weeks ago. I am amazed that these babies naturally knows when to do their little magic and force themselves out of that womb to meet their parents. How do they know when its time to arrive? How do they decide which day they will have their birthday for the rest of their lives?

It's called a Miracle. And life is truly a miracle. A man and a woman can create another life together. That's just incredibly amazing.

Each and every one of these babies I come across and meet for the first time, they still make my heart sink. The moment we meet, I am still in awe of their tiny-ness. When I hold them in my arns, each and every one of them reminds me of the day I held my own for the first time.

It must be a blur for many moms during the first month as it definitely was for me. But I promise you that with these images will only bring back the special sweet moments you might have forgotten during the first 2 weeks of your baby's life. You will be able to live that moment again once you open that album again and see your tiny one.

This is their story.

Their very 'first born' child wasn't forgotten at all.

Just a few weeks after the maternity session, we have baby Clarissa here with us.

I love how excited new parents get to see their newborn's eyes open. I always try my best to photograph an open eye shot of them while they are awake for a few minutes.

I don't do enough 'before' and 'after' series during my Maternity & Newborn Collections... but this time, I remember to and I am loving this one especially when they are placed side by side.

I will title this one: "Inside, Outside".

Baby Bradley: 7th Month Session

Our Baby's First Year Collection is a wonderful way to capture your little one's first year of life during their fleeting year. It includes 4 separate photo session which usually begins around 3 months of age. I will come back every 3 months to capture your baby's new milestone.

That's exactly what Baby Bradley's mama have gotten him. A priceless gift especially when they are grown up someday. It's one of the best gift any parent could ever gift to their own child. I wish my mother did this for me when I was a baby. I literally have only a handful of baby photos of myself during my first year of life, maybe also because I am the second child too. My brother seems to have at least an album. I wish I have a photo of my mother pregnant with me actually. That is something I would truly treasure. That is why I always encourage expecting moms to have their maternity portraits done, if not for you, at least for your baby.

This is the 2nd session from his Baby's First Year Collection. Remember him here? He was only 4 months old, just barely holding up his little head and on his tummy. Now he is sitting up and smiling at 7 months and was even 'scooting' towards my camera already. I'm sure next time I see him, he would be speed crawling if not standing on his own already at our next photo shoot.

It's so rewarding to be able to witness the growth of these little ones right before my lens. I thank all the mommies and daddies for choosing me as your baby photographer. And putting so much trust in the work that I do for your babies. (Like the one of Bradley on his bookshelf here below)

Thank you baby Bradley for being SUCH a good sport during your photo shoot. You did AMAZINGLY well and I couldn't have been more happy with your good attitude and spirit.

Below are a few of my favorites from this session.

I loved his little buns...

That innocent smile, how can you NOT be smiling back at him right now?

It took about 7 seconds to take this shot, as baby Bradley tried to fearlessly fly off that shelf. Of course, I had Daddy stayed just an arm's length away, ready to catch his little super hero.

I would do anything to trade you for your soft baby skin Bradley... its so creamy and soft.

Auction Item: Portrait Session with Jenny Lee Photography

Every year, I will donate several Portrait Sessions to local schools around the Bay Area. Many schools offer auction events for fundraising and this is the best way for us to help fund schools in our community.

Neil Armstrong Elementary School just started their online auction today. You can check out the auction item we have donated from our studio here:

By winning this item, you will be helping Neil Armstrong Elementary School in San Ramon with funds for the kids education. Everyone is welcome to bid on this item. You do not have to live in the East Bay or have a child at this school to bid. The only restriction is that the photo shoot will take place in the Bay Area, California (unless winner will accommodate travel expenses).

So please feel free to send this to all your friends and family who might be interested in a portrait session with us.

This auction item will end on Thursday, March 24 @ 7pm.

And while you're there, don't forget to bid on other great auction items too to help out with our local school.

I'm already eyeing the manicure/pedicure spa package and the Niles Canyon train ride tickets.

Have fun bidding!
