Aidan is 5

I forgot to blog about Aidan's 5th birthday ... well, it was earlier this month. I'm trying to make this a little fun family tradition - I decorated his room the night before his birthday so he would wake up all festive and fun on his actual birthday.

Last year, I surrounded him with helium balloons all tied down onto his little Car Movies cars, this year, as you can see, I had no helium... I ran out of time, so tape works wonders too. Those faces on the balloons are suppose to be every one of us in our family. We also hide his present under his bed and he even found it! I used recycled maps that we never use anymore as wrapping paper. It worked great and its eco-friendly.

Aidan woke up reaaally happy the next morning so it was all worth it.

Haircut?

My son (yes, I said "son") will hate me when he grows up. But this is just too fun right now. I know, I know, he needs a haircut.

Baby Alexander - Day 5

One of the most rewarding part about my job as a baby photographer is being able to watch these babies grow up. Remember that beautiful mom that is on the front page of my website? Well, she's back again. And this time, she had Baby #2. Congratulations on another baby boy! Tracy looked amazingly when I saw her today. She barely gained any weight throughout her 2nd pregnancy, she was definitely ALL baby because she was already wearing her regular jeans!

Meet her sweet baby, Alexander. He is 5 days young. And he looks JUST like his big brother, William.

I still remember that day when I photographed William when he was just 8 months old, and then again at the park when he turned one. Every time I saw him, he looked different, but one thing never changed though, he was always so happy to see me, I love it.

William is already 18 months now and how wonderful it must be for 2 brothers to be so close in age. The photo shoot went very well today, baby Alexander was a pretty good sleeper throughout his session. And you see that shot of baby smiling back at mommy? Right after he gave us that big beautiful smile, he decided to pee pee all over his mommy... leaving us with laughs and giggles.

Don't they look alike? Such handsome boys.

His mommy called this the Kung-Fu fighting shirt. I love the colors.

T-shirt Models...

Once in a while I would have a request to do portraits for other kinds of subjects besides newborns and babies... such as engagements, parties, weddings, etc.
This time I had a request for doing a photo shoot for an online T-shirt company. The owner of Yappari.com just recently started his online business selling Japanese T-shirts with a taste of humor. We had a total of 6 models, 3 men and 3 women to work with and a bunch of different shirts.

The site is already up and running and anyone can purchase them online. But soon, Yappari.com will update their photos with these latest shots from our photo shoot so check back to their site for updates. To keep up with the election spirit, I encourage all your Japanese and non-Japanese folks to check out the Obama t-shirt they have on their site too. Happy Shopping!

And this one is my favorite shot from the photo shoot...I love how happy everyone is.

Baby Zoey

Doing some catching up from a shoot I did about a while back...

Meet baby Zoey.

She is one adorable 9 months old crawler. I love those big round eyes of hers. She arrived at my studio happy and alert.... until Daddy decided to change her diaper for the shoot. After that was done, she was a happy baby again.

So I started the shoot quickly as soon as I saw how happy Zoey was because after working with so many babies, I knew this energy wouldn't last very long. As predicted, baby Zoey's good mood lasted for about 20-25 mins until baby started to get sick of me constantly being in her face. She started to grunt at me when I tried to fix her diaper and it was hilarious. We let her crawl around and explored as I crawled around and just worked around her.

As baby Zoey started to get more restless, I suggested a change of scenery to help brighten up her mood. Being outside bought me another 15 mins of happy Zoey to work with. All in all, this baby girl was a good baby to work with ... I mean, just look how cute she is!? It really doesn't take much for her to look any cuter?! All she needs to do is look up with those big puppy eyes to melt my heart and everyone else's.

Jacqueline - 38 weeks

I photographed the Cisneros family focusing mainly on her son, Max and his Grandma, who came to visit from Mexico a few months back. Max's father was supposed to be at the photo shoot but he had a last minute call to work that morning.

The past weekend, Jacqueline asked me to photograph her whole family again, this time with her husband, Max and her new baby bump too. How exciting! At 38 weeks along now, she is looking great, don't you think? Now if you can look this good pregnant at your 3rd trimester, you must look pretty darn good non-pregnant.

What an exciting time for the Cisneros family... I can't wait to meet their new baby. And you know what the most exciting part is? We all have no idea what she is having, will this be another boy or a little girl? I bet big brother Max is even more excited than we are.
