This 2nd time mommy-to-be was glowing with joy when I greeted her at the door. The Park family and I will be seeing alot of each other during this coming year as we have already set up a few more photo sessions for her newborn that will be arriving in March. I love it when clients plan way ahead of time.
Little Andrew here is 3 and a half years old. His mommy mentioned to me that it might take him a bit to warm up ... so I kept my distance and tried to talk to him and ask him questions about himself. About 15 minutes into my arrival, his mommy and I were trying to pick out some cute outfits for her maternity shoot, little Andrew came into the room and just took my hand into his and pulled me outside to play. I was so surprised but felt so happy that he really didn't need much time to warm up to me like his mommy have warned me. I'm so glad he was so easy to work with.
The photo shoot went well ...and from time to time, Andrew would run in and out of the room as I was trying to photograph his mommy. A very active toddler indeed, I had to capture whatever I can with his turbo personality. As with all toddlers, who would want to sit still for pictures? Well, with the limited amount of time we got to have him sit still to do a few family shots, I'm glad we captured his true happy personality with no crying or tandrums at all.

Tahoe Trip
I've been so bad with my blog since this New Year. I know, I know... I've been a bad girl. I will try my best to post more often... and to also try and post a bit more of my personal stuff as well.
I have no excuse... I've definitely been keeping busy with all sorts of things... (which is good, right?)....from photo shoots to freelance for Design to a weekend getaway with the boys up in Tahoe and all that fun stuff.
We went up to the snow last week and had a great time. Thanks to the beautiful weather. We stayed up in Truckee and went skied at North Star. The weather was INCREDIBLE, I mean, I was actually HOT, up in the slopes and that never happens. Just look at me, I didn't even have to wear a jacket in the snow park ... now THAT is one HOT day if I, of all people, is complaining that it's hot because I am ALWAYS cold.
Well, let me say no more... I'll just share some shots from our trip...
Look at my little snow bunny ....

And my little "bigger" snow bunny... always gives me a smile when he sees my camera.

Here is my snow bunny with his buddySimone and his favorite cousin/BFF, Calvin. These 3 are definitely the 3 Musketeers. They play so well together and are all the same age practically. We put all the kids in for Ski School together while all the Moms went up to the slopes this time.
Koop's expression here is priceless ... thank you Mr. Augie Chang Photography for getting this shot for us.
As you can see, I think I was having more fun than my little bunny here...
Can't leave without getting a jumping shot in there, eh?
And finally, the Daddy Daycare Crew with all the kiddies. Thank you all the dads for watching the babies and letting all the moms go up to the slopes this time. We had a blast.

And last but not least, a shot of the 3 of us up on the slopes. (taken with my Samsung point-and-shoot, sorry about the bad quality). All 3 of us got to the top of the mountain... and was proud we were even "near" the Blue Zone. Ha - Good times.

Baby Naomi - 4 weeks
Meet our first little newborn for the New Year of 2009.
Her name is Naomi and she is exactly One Month old on the day of our photo shoot. How exciting!
She is such a cutie. At 4 weeks, she had really beautiful skin (no baby acne at all), with a nice round head and chubby cute cheeks too. She made the cutest little 'air leaking out of a balloon' sound during our photo shoot. I laughed everytime I heard it.
We tried several attempt to get shots of her without her diaper on and for some reason, she knew what we were up to. Everytime we took those diaper off, she would let us know that it was a "no no" for her because she would completely pee and poo everywhere for us, I mean everywhere....leaving mommy and daddy with a bunch of cleaning to do on the floor (and even the walls!).
Overall, baby Naomi wanted to stay awake during most of the shoot so it was a good chance for me to get a bunch of awake and alert shots of her as well as sleeping shots of her altogether towards the end of the shoot.
Thanks for the fun start of the New Year baby Naomi. It was fun to be over to play.
I love that great eye contact she had in this shot.
And those cute lips... and chub on those cheeks
The sweetness of Daddy and his little girl...

One happy new family together....
